My fitness routine is simple and is even easy to do at home. I do different routines, it’s always better to focus on an area on your body and work that out rather than going to the gym and working out your entire body because you will get tired fast. Usually, when I will do “arms day” I’m focusing on different arm workouts. The next day will be “legs day” and another day is “abs day.” I usually spend one hour at the gym.

Her healthy habits

I don’t really have a specific diet. I believe it’s about eating healthy, not less! I always try to keep a balanced diet, making sure I consume enough fruits and vegetables. It’s important to understand or to know your own body, what your body can handle, and what your body doesn’t digest well. That said, I don’t have a specific food that I indulge in. I think I go through different cravings when my mood changes. Sometimes hanging out with friends who eat unhealthy, it’s always a temptation to join in eating junk food. How I stop myself is understanding the consequence. If you know eating certain foods is going to cause you to feel unhappy about yourself, then substitute it with something you will feel better after eating it! It’s simple—you just need to say no to yourself, what I call self-discipline!”

My workout routine includes a lot of sprinting, engaging fast twitch muscles, and forcing myself past mind limits. Majority of my workouts focus on core work through compound exercises. I do calf raises all throughout the day, even when I’m brushing my teeth. Stretching makes it all worth it. With team practice, I am able to work out every day. Weight training is usually two to three times a week with vigorous but short compound workouts. Core and calves is every day for me. Rest days are the days that matter most.

His healthy habits
My diet consists of morning oatmeal mixed with chia seeds and whey protein, with my daily vitamins to start the day. I try to drink as much water as possible throughout the day, during and after practice. For lunch, I try to eat some form of meat whether it’s turkey, beef, chicken, or fish, along with rice or potatoes and vegetables. I drink three to four different flavors of drinks or fruit shakes to get extra fruit intake. For dinner, I indulge in either steak or whole chicken. I am a man who loves all different types of smoothies and shakes, sometimes having up to five drinks at a time. This keeps me good until bed time. My best advice is water, water, water!

His fitness regimen

I see to it that I complete working on the major muscles of my body in a week, it usually takes around three to four times a week for me to complete that. I’m a sporty guy, so I do a lot of sports, but the one I favor the most is basketball. During my free time when I am not shooting for Magkaibang Mundo, I play basketball with my friends. It’s also a way of relieving my stress.

His healthy habits

I’m not into any particular diet. I just really stay away from carbs at night, but if there is something that I really like to dig into, it’s a good steak that’s done medium rare—anything protein actually.

I don’t go to the gym, mahilig ako sa sports. I swim three times a week, two hours each session, but that is because I’m training for a swim event this August. When I have a free weekend, I ride my mountain bike with my team (PTT Trikings). I run about twice a week just around the village, and sometimes I play badminton.

Her healthy habits

My diet consists of a light breakfast and light dinner, but a heavy lunch. I make it a point to have fruits and vegetables with my meals, and I reduce my rice intake. I count ginataang bilo-bilo as a cheat food. I like sweets. I don’t drink anything except water. Exercise and sport keep me focused and take my mind off the stress. Mahirap kapag puro trabaho lang ang buhay mo. Malawak ang mundo, sayang if you’ll just limit yourself in the office.

His fitness regimen

Before, I used to work out intensely for about two hours. Now, my schedule is always tight so I only work out for about one hour up to an hour and 30 minutes max, three to five times a week. Due to lack of time, I only work on one muscle group, but I see to it that I do my workout intensively and with less rest. I also do one day of functional training for my cardio, endurance, and muscle endurance.

His healthy habits

I don’t really follow any specific diet. I just eat plenty and whatever I want during breakfast and the amount lessens during lunch and decreases even more during dinner. For me, being fit is not just about having a good-looking body. It’s about feeling good, being able to do the things we need to do, and using our body to honor God by discovering and maximizing its capacity.

My workout routine is dependent on my trainer. I do intense workouts because my trainer feels that I am strong enough to handle it. I focus more on toning my arms, legs, and abs rather than doing cardio because I am already thin enough. I used to be able to run around our village, but I don’t have time for it these days.  As much as possible, I eat what I want, but I always go for the healthier options. I don’t want to deprive myself when I crave something. I just burn my calories with my gym workout.

His fitness regimen

I stopped working out for about a year and a half. I didn’t really like going to the gym, preferring to lose weight by dieting instead. Now, I am doing a high-intensity workout and strict zero-carb diet to burn the stubborn fats. I also stay at the gym sauna to lose the water-weight. I realized that it is harder to lose weight when you are older, so I am planning to make it a habit to live a fitter lifestyle. I plan to go back to playing basketball ad running to amp my cardio. With the routine I am following now I have lost 11 pounds in three weeks.

Her fitness regimen

My abdominal muscles weakened after two consecutive pregnancies. I felt like I was doing crunches every time I sneezed or coughed! So I started doing Pilates at Options Studio Greenhills. It’s the first Pilates facility located within a chiropractic setting so it was also perfect for my lower back. I do Pilates three times a week. I love it because it keeps you long and lean, and you discover muscles you never knew you had. I feel I’m at my strongest, fittest, and slimmest now.
